Instrumentalists Attend Marshall County Strings Camp

The annual Marshall County Strings Program Summer Camp is being held this week at John Marshall High School.

The camp is designed to motivate the young musicians to continue practicing during the summer break from school. Students are participating in daily sessions where they learn new music through small group and large ensemble instruction.  High school students are serving as mentors to younger students.

The week culminates with two concerts on Thursday, June 27, 2019 in the JM Center for Performing Arts. Elementary students perform at 11:30 am and secondary students perform at 3:00 pm. Students will showcase their work from throughout the week. The concerts are free and open to the public.

The Marshall County Strings Program is under the direction of Shelby Genberg, Justin Jones and Alex Talkowski.
