Susan Wilson Burk
   After high school, Sue graduated from the West Virginia Mountain State Business School in Parkersburg. She then worked for PPG Industries in Proctor for 9 years until she started her family.    On January 28, 1967, she and Michael Burk were married at Calvary United Methodist Church in Moundsville. They have remained residents of Moundsville ever since. Sue and Mick have two children, Amy and Matthew.   Susan has been active as one of the originators of the Marshall County Animal Rescue League. She has served various officer positions. This association with the care of pets has lead to her family having a dog and two cats during most of her married life. Her other interests have been in sewing, cooking, and decorating her home.
  Susan and Mick have known each other since First Grade but didn’t start dating until college as a result of their mother’s collaboration. Their mothers were teachers together at First Ward School and encouraged Sue to write to Mick while he was in school at WVU. This letter writing communication channel lead to their courtship and marriage 5 years later.
