New Robotics Club Started at Hilltop Elementary School

Hilltop Elementary students work on robotics projects.

The fifth-grade Hilltop Elementary Robotics Club, new this year, is an exciting opportunity for students to explore the world of technology and engineering.

Using VEX Robotics kits, students began by learning about simple machines, gaining a solid understanding of basic mechanical concepts. As they progress, they are now building more complex projects, such as cars that they will eventually be able to program and control through coding. This hands-on approach helps them develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Additionally, the club is beginning to collaborate with Sherrard Middle School’s Robotics program, providing students with the chance to connect with peers from another school and share ideas, further expanding their learning experience.
