MMS Students Win 1st Place at WV Youth Art Competition

On Saturday, February 26, 2022, winners were announced for the annual West Virginia Youth Art Month Student Art Show displayed at the Parkersburg Art Center.

Moundsville Middle School students Riley Polsinelli and Zoey Toothman captured the top spots in their categories. Polsinelli placed first in the Middle School Painting category, while Toothman earned first for Overall Outstanding Middle School Artwork for her colored pencil piece titled “Butterfly.”

Toothman and her Art teacher Tabitha Morgan will represent West Virginia middle school visual art students and be honored on stage at the Charleston Cultural Center on May 6, 2022, during the annual West Virginia Arts Alive Events.
