The Parade
The parade of former Homecoming Queens, Alumni Association Committee members, Former Cheerleaders, Boys of Summer, John Marshall High School Marching Band, Moundsville Middle School Cheerleaders, and Moundsville officials and Fire trucks was all organized and managed by Ruth Foxall Moore (Class of 1948) and Gene Gray (Class of 1950). The parade started at the Mound Museum and went north on Jefferson Avenue to Second Street. It turned left onto Second and turned onto Tomlinson Avenue. South on Tomlinson Avenue past the old school site to Eighth Street and back to the museum.
The main street of town was decorated with light banners and window displays. The Class Pictures that use to hang in the hallways were distributed in various store windows around town. Mr. Michael Eskridge and the Moundsville Middle School Leo Club placed the pictures at the designated sites.
